Synopsis
Everyone is on a bicycle in this a-typical show, riding across space and time on the river of the Twentieth Century. The masks, Time Guides, take the spectators by the hand accompanying them through the life of Fausto Coppi, the Champion, and Anifele, the African mosquito that stung him. It is the parabola of a man gradually becoming that of each one. A story that is daily and heroic at the same time, ironically biting.
Company
Faber Teater is a theater company that emphasizes craftsmanship and collective creation, focusing on the relationship between actors and spectators. Founded in 1997 by Aldo Pasquero, the company views theater as a space for learning, exploration, and shared experiences. They prioritize the actors' work and the idea of theater as a workshop where ideas, actions, and performances are cultivated. Their approach to theater is rooted in the belief that performances are moments of intense exchange, filled with emotions, energy, and stories, often staged in unconventional locations. The company values self-education and incorporates diverse training traditions, including yoga, dance, acrobatics, and music, to prepare for performances. Since 2004, they have deepened their vocal and musical research with Antonella Talamonti. Over the years, Faber Teater has collaborated with numerous theater professionals, enriching their pedagogical and artistic journey. They have toured globally, performing in prestigious festivals and remote villages alike, engaging with audiences of all sizes in a variety of settings.
